The Story

Moina macropora is a crustacean zooplankton widely used in commercial shrimp/fish aquaculture.

Irresistible live feed for mandarin dragonets, anthias, pipefish, seahorses and other finicky zooplankton feeders.

Reared at a salinity of 1.015 for increased protein/fat content and gut-loaded with microalgae nutrition (Tetraselmis chui).

Can be used to start home cultures for routine feedings (just feed TSA Phytoplankton!)

Excellent tool for getting new fish to eat and for a wide array of home fish/invert breeding projects!

* Unlike saltwater copepod species (Tisbe, Tigriopus, Apocyclops etc.), Moina will not reproduce at full-strength reef aquarium salinity (1.0263). Moina will reproduce in a wide variety of brackish and freshwater aquariums.
